I get a text message to set up a call “ASAP.”
I immediately text back. “Now is good.”
But apparently my definition of ASAP isn’t shared by the other guy. After 30 minutes of radio silence, he replies.
“Things are tight today. Will text you tomorrow to set up a time to talk.”
“Ok. Sounds good.”
About twenty minutes later I get another text (in three parts) detailing a laundry list of tasks that make today so “tight.”
The list seems serious and many of the tasks are probably more important than our call. But I refrain from suggesting that he get on those tasks ASAP because I don’t want to encourage any unnecessary delays.
