I follow the man in the Lambo into the Coffee Bean. He is a regular, I am not.
The staff calls out to him. They marvel at his appearance: a button-down shirt and wool slacks.
“You usually come in here rocking sweatpants,” the cashier says.
“Today is the day I have my meeting,” Lambo says.
“Yup, once a year, I have a day of meetings,” Lambo says. “It’s a real hassle because I have to look professional.”
The staff agrees that Lambo looks like a pro. They fix his coffee and wish him luck. But Lambo does not need luck.
“Luck is for suckers,” Lambo says.
