What kind of bread goes with tuna?
This isn’t a typical Subway question, but the sandwich artist is a total pro. She leans on experience.
“Most people get white, unless they’re trying to be healthy, then wheat.”
“It’s for a friend,” the man says. “He ain’t healthy.”
White it is.
The sandwich artist recommends American. But the man looks at me for a second opinion.
“It’s the safest bet,” I say. “Can’t go wrong with American.”
He gives the sandwich artist the nod and we are go for American cheese.
But these questions are prelude for the custom sandwich debacle that awaits. The friend’s order only said, “veggies ‘n stuff.”
